The HB series of digital clocks are PC programmable.and available in a wide range of sizes and options for configuration as Clock, Timer, or Temperature displays.
They can operate as completely standalone with a TV style Remote Control Unit or act as slaves to a RS232/USB connection to display PC time.
Optional networking via RS485 or TCP/IP (ethernet):.
In network mode the entire system can be interfaced with a PC so the clocks will display system time.(Clocks default to running as independents if the network goes down)
In a power cut an internal battery maintains their programming.

Manufacturers included free setup software allows for basic functionality as a Moving Sign to display text messages, Time, Date etc.
3rd party software allows for full automated synchronisation on a network to display time. (Custom solutions also available).
Displays are available in a range of sizes and operating protocols.
These displays are suited as general networking display clocks synchronised to the host PC time by RS485 network protocol. We have developed Synchronizer network software which updates the clocks automatically to system (server) time. If the network goes down the clocks continue to display the correct time based on an internal quartz Xtal until the network is restored at which time they will re-synchronise to system time..
The clocks are available for use on 100-240VAC or 12V-24VDC.
They can be installed throughout a building utilising existing Cat-5 and RJ11 (RS485) or RJ12 (RS232) connections..
By paralleling-up the unused pairs, low voltage power can be carried over the same Cat-5 cable which supplies the data control signal for a simple and tidy installation (adhoc Power over ethernet).
RS485 networking allows for data transmission longer distances. It offers almost "plug & play" simplicity by utilising a USB slot or serial port connectivity on the host PC with a suitable converter..
The clocks are standalone self-running. This means they will continue to run unaffected if the host PC is disconnected for any reason. They will update themselves automatically from the host PC for daylight savings time changes. In the event of a power cut, they retain memory and again show the correct time when power is restored. |
