Saplings wired systems include product compatibility with existing systems commonly seen in public venue buildings throughout NZ and overseas. These systems traditionally depend on a central master controller driving slave clocks. Saplings master clock controller features factory precalculated accuracy adjustment or can be synchronised to precision time by one of the many common methods as for example Satellite (GPS), NTP, SNTP, or other reputable method of retrieving an international time standard. Access to the master controller is by front-located push buttons or full functionality is by regular web browser from any network PC (password protected). Summertime adjustments are totally automated as are individual clock self-corrections following a power outage.

Saplings IP systems support POE (power over ethernet) connectivity and incorporate a webserver into each clock by which the clock can synchronise itself to one of up to ten NTP or SNTP servers either on an inhouse network or externally across the web. In the event the currently active NTP server becomes not available the clock will retrieve the time from the next available NTP server in its list therby ensuring continuous accuracy. This concept allows for individual access via a regular web browser to each clock to gain a range of reports or to alter its operating parameters (eg to show world times etc). System performance can be monitored and notification by email setup to notify of any problem clock or outage. Summertime adjustments are totally automated as are corrections following any power outage.

2-wire systemSaplings 2-wire system takes it to the next level by removing the complexities and combining the benefits of both wired and IP systems in a single easy-install package, making for a very simple cost effective outlay, installation and foward maintenance concept for larger systems. Analogue or digital clocks can share a common two wire cable (2.5mm standard electrical cable) receiving both 24VDC power and timedata control signal on the same ciruit. Clocks can be added or replaced at will to the common circuit and will automatically self-correct there and then to system time.
System time accuracy is ensured by a highly accurate master controller or otherwise can be achieved by interfacing the controller to any of the common time referennce technologies available today (GPS/NTP/SNTP/etc).
